      New York City

      Midnight

The nickname of "The City That Never Sleeps" was proving to be quite fitting this particular eve in New York. Cars were roaring down the many streets, numerous horns going off as they did so. People were out walking on the cool night, be it alone or with a partner. Bars were awfully busy as well. A bit too busy in one particular case though...

Hidden within the shadows of an alleyway and shrouded in darkness, there laid someone clad entirely in a gray, metal-armored suit, who sat on his equally as armored motorcycle. Everything on their body was covered, from the legs to the arms, from the stomach to the neck. The only thing that wasn't covered on this man's body was his head... And his head made it very clear he was not a man.

Instead, should someone have caught him, they'd had find a large green creature wearing a red bandanna wrapped around his eyes, two slits cut through it to allow him to see. And upon noticing this, perhaps they'd also notice the shell-shaped piece on the back of his armor, or that his gloves simply had three large fingers as opposed to five small ones.

No, this was no man. To the few that knew him, he was Raphael. The hot-headed Sai master of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. But to the most that knew him, they knew nothing of his true identity, only of his vigilante persona known as the Nightwatcher. And tonight, he was on patrol.

*CHK* "We have a B & E progress, repeat a B & E in progress. Breaking and entering at 45th at Broadway. Suspect considered armed and dangerous." spoke the speaker he had on his bike to intercept police calls. He always knew were danger was thanks to it. He grinned at the announcement of a chance to get some action going tonight, putting on his metal biker's helmet to completely cover his head and conceal his identity before flicking on his headlight, grabbing the handlebars on his motorcycle to and revving up the engine.

"They're playing my tunes." he said to himself, before flying out of the dark alleyway onto the bright streets of the Big Apple. After riding for about two minutes or so, he came to his destination. 45th at Broadway, one of the most popular clubs around town. Based off the lack of police cars nearby, he assumed he got there before any of them did. And also based off the knocked-out security guards in front of the building, he figured this was the right place too.

Raphael parked his bike in an alleyway again before running back to the entrance of the building. Before entering however, he heard one of the guards groan, indicating there was still some consciousness to them. Raph stopped for a second, walked over to the guard, and picked him off the ground.

"Hey, you alright there man?" the Nightwatcher asked the guard, helping him stand on his feet as the man held his head with his hand.

"Do I look alright?" he replied sarcastically, though appreciatively. "It happened so fast. Someone just came up to us without any I.D, so we naturally stopped to ask them for some. Next thing I know I'm after getting clocked in the head and knocked out. Don't even remember what they looked like honestly."

"Jeez, just breaking in like that? Sounds a little odd for the people around these parts. Get to safety sir, I'll take it from here." Raphael advised the man, letting him stumble off. He then removed the manriki chains from the belt of his suit, prepping himself for in case things are actually serious this time around.

"Time to get this party started."

      ---------------------

Yep. Another DBX incoming. Hopefully this one won't take as long from when I'm writing the preview. And hopefully it'll also come out better than the mildly average Kazuma VS Scott fight I posted a while ago.

As for Raph's opponent, well some subtle hints were given throughout the thing, but if you want something a bit more, here's a silhouette'd thumbnail for ya, though it's still not the most obvious thing around. Lemme know what your guesses are (I won't be confirming anything though), and hope you get excited for this!

    • Pokemon White Randomizer Nuzlocke Journal

      Grand-Blazer

That's right folks, I'm back once again with a new Pokemon Nuzlocke! But this time a little twist has been put on it. This time, I'm still Nuzlocking White, but it's gonna be a Randomizer! For those of you that don't know, that's when RN-Jesus really comes into play and randomizes the Pokemon you encounter, so you can go fishing and run into anything from a Zigzagoon to an Articuno. It's my first time playing one too, so it should be fun.

Just a reminder on Nuzlocke rules in case you've forgotten though.

-I can only catch the first Pokemon I encounter on a route. If I kill it, tough luck. Only exceptions are if it's something I've already caught, if it's a shiny or a static Pokemon (stuff that you're given or that shows up in the overworld)

-If a Pokemon faints, it's dead and I can no longer use it. Normally I have to release it, but I just put it in a Dead box.

-Nickname all Pokemon. Gotta get attached!

And just a note, at the time I'm starting this I have exams coming up soon, plus this is on my laptop which I don't get to use incredibly often. So don't expect as frequent updates this time around, at least for the first bit.

But with that out of the way, let's start our new adventure!

      Day 1 - January 5

We start off our journey once again as Blazer, in my house with Cheren and Bianca (or not since random trainer names is on) showing up after Professor Juniper delivered our starter Pokemon to be. And the options aaaaare....

Seviper, Meganium and fucking Palkia! You'll never guess who I picked.

Bianca, or should I say Doctor Joey, then requested to battle me. She got Seviper herself, so I just got to spam Dragon Breath on her and won easy. Turned the room into a disaster though.

Then we fought Cheren, or should I say Doctor Marcellus, and his Meganium. More Dragon Breath spams, I won. Went downstairs, apologized to mom, left the house and went over to Bianca's where her dad was yelling at her then went up to the professor's.

After introductions, I got to nickname Palkia. I was thinking about some water dragons in fiction, and I ended up naming his Riptide, after one of the Seawings in the Wings of Fire novel series. Go check it out, good stuff.

So then we go off to Route 1 and we get our bullshit capture tutorial, walk into the tall grass and find...

Dragonite! FUCKING AMAZING! When I say that I mean it sarcastically because it wouldn't get in the fucking ball, and then my only attacking move was Dragon Breath so obviously I killed it! So Route 1 is a failure for capture. Was forced to quit there due to some stuff irl, but I'm back now baby.

      Day 2 - January 6

Continuing on with the adventure, we saw that Route 1 also offered Wigglytuff and Snorlax. Two Pokemon that I like that probably would've survived Dragon Breath. Great.

But then we arrived at Accumula Town, and after more bullshit tutorials at the Pokemon Center, we go outside and find Team Plasma making their PETA speech that I didn't read at all because I'm not focusing on plot this playthrough. Though I will focus on Pokehusbando N, who appeared afterwards to battle me. "Doctor" N sent out a Grovyle, which I knocked out in two Dragon Breaths. Apologies to ThankSwalot.

Afterwards we went over to Route 2 and ran into a Togekiss. Awesome! Amazing find!

Then the thing used Sky Attack and killed Riptide. AWESOME! AMAZING! NUZLOCKE IS ALREADY FUCKING DEAD GUYS!

But here's something I noticed afterwards. I figured Palkia should be strong enough to take a Sky Attack, since it was just a level 7 Togekiss, but then I realized that Palkia hadn't levelled up at all. In fact, he hadn't gained a single point of EXP. So there's something wrong with the randomizer that I need to fix, which I will for the reset.

In the meantime y'all can enjoy my fucking salt.

      Second Try

      Day 1 - January 13

WOOOOO GOT THE EXP BACK! WE'RE STARTED FOR REAL NOW GUYS! Many thanks to Jokerke for that comment about that being a common issue.

After rebooting the randomizer so it's all new with different Pokemon (RIP Riptide), I got started on our new game again. But since I had already been through the dialogue with Juniper before, I was just spamming my keyboard in hopes of continuing fast. But then I wound up at the name selection and was still doing that, so my name came out to be "AAAAAAA". All caps. So I'm just gonna imagine everyone is screaming in fear whenever they say my name. But anyways, we got to the starter Pokemon and our options weeeeeeeeere...!

      Beedrill, Marill and motherfucking Latios

For those of you who don't know, Latios is my favorite legendary Pokemon of all time ever, so I immediately picked this thing, though you'd have to be crazy not to.

Bianca, or should I say Rich Kid Florentino, then challenged us to a battle again with their Marill. This thing came with Psywave and Heal Block. Not the greatest moveset, with an 80 accuracy making Psywave miss a fair bit, but hey, still gets the job done. And Heal Block will be useful for the first couple gyms and their Potions. But back to the battle at hand, we beat Florentino easy and got EXP for it, woo!

Then we fought Cheren, or Rich Kid Daniel, and beat him with more Psywave spams. Left the house, saw Bianca's dad bitch at her and went to the Professor's place. There we got to nickname our Latios, and since he's such a fucking bro we went ahead and called him Kamina. And if I find a Latias I'll be sure to call her Yoko.

Went off to Route 1 then and got out turtorial on catching again, and then I got myself my first encounter. Gulpin! Nice! Never used a Swalot before, so this'll be a cool experience. I named it Thanks, after my bro ThankSwalot. You've probably seen him around here a few times.

Went back to my house to heal, then went back onto the Route and found that Krokorok was something else I could've caught. Shame, since Krookodile is probably my favorite Gen 5 Pokemon, but hey, point of a randomizer and a Nuzlocke is to use stuff you normally wouldn't, so whatever.

Cut things off there for the day, but now I'm back for real baby!

      Team:
      Kamina the Latios
      Thanks the Gulpin

      ----

      Day 2 - January 14

Continuing on Route 1, we found that we could also have gotten a Floatzel, Azumarill and Rhyhorn. And I would've really loved to get that last one, but it is what it is. We then reached Accumula Town and went through more tutorial bullshit at the Pokemon Centre before getting to Team Plasma's PETA speech. Again. This is getting pretty tiring.

Blah blah, N showed up after, he's a Rich Kid, and he sent out a Litwick. And boy was this thing was an asshole.

I had Thanks sent out first, but since he can't harm ghost-types all I could was Poison Gas it and switch. Which I did, but this candle had Minimize, which was going to go really poorly with Psywave's shit accuracy. Thankfully though, I got enough of them to make the poison kill before I got killed by Astonish spams.

We healed up at the Pokemon Centre then went into the next Route, where our mom gave us Running Shoes. Hurray, I'm faster now. We went into the grass and had our first encounter with a Tyranitar! Awesome! Fucking amazing!

After a couple Pounds and a Yawn from Thanks, we got the thing in the ball and spent a solid five minutes trying to figure out what to name it. Since it turns into what's basically a dinosaur, I named it after the Jojo Stand Scary Monsters, which turns those it infects into dinosaurs. But since I couldn't fit all those, characters I had to settle for ScaryMonst.

We then got to battle some trainers like Elite Four Malcolm who had a Wynaut and nothing else. Nice. Some other things that could've been caught on the route include Weavile and Hypno, the former of which would've cool. I've used Tyranitar before, so getting something new wouldn't be so bad, and Weavile is awesome from what I hear.

At the end of the route we battled Bianca again, who still had her Marill, as well as... another Marill... Man what are the odds of that happening? Kicked her ass anyways. Then we went into Striaton City, healed up and immediately went to Dreamyard to get whatever Pokemon is replacing the stupid monkeys. After beating the trainers in there and getting to her, the girl gave me a Hitmontop. That's actually pretty interesting.

My immediate thought though was "sick spins", but that sounded too simple. So sick spins lead to TR-8R from Force Awakens, but that didn't seem fitting for Hitmontop, and neither did just "Traitor". So in the end I decided to call it Traytourre. Seemed better than the other two while still keeping some relevance to sick spins. Leaving things off there today. Tomorrow we'll get back to the gym.

      ----

      Day 3 - January 15

To start the day off, we went over to the Pokemon School to fight Cheren, who had gotten himself a Riolu. A bit of a dick punch, but ScaryMonst took care of it along with his Beedrill. We then got to go to the gym, where we fought our way through the trainers before making it to the gym leader. Since Latios replaced Snivy, I got to fight Chili, or should I say Analyst Wayne. He had a Kirlia and a Shuppet, the former of which I left to ScaryMonst and the latter got one shot by a critical Pursuit from Traytourre. Pretty promising for his first fight.

We got the Trio Badge, and went outside where we met Fennel. She brought us over to her lab for some dialogue I skipped, then she gave me Cut. Great. Taught it to Thanks and went over to the Dreamyard again. Found Team Plasma trying to beat up a Munna and kicked their asses.

Afterwards Fennel showed up again to get her Dream Mist, and I checked out the grass. First encounter? Baltoy. Man, this Dreamyard has a thing for sick spins, doesn't it? A couple Psywaves from Kamina and I threw a ball, catching it in one go. Since it's also a spinning Poke, I had to keep up the TR-8R theme, and I decided to call it Claytor. 'Cause you know, clay and traitor, seemed clever. Let me know if you think it's clever!

Anyways, after that we went on over to the next route, where we fought the likes of Champions Amy&Tia, Rocker Crystal and Cooltrainer Sophie, all preschool people. Then Cheren showed up with a Chimchar and Beedrill to fight me and I won again with no trouble. Bianca came along after and told us about how Team Plasma stole a little girl's Pokemon, so Cheren ran off to get them. I meanwhile got to catching stuff.

Walked into the grass and found a Whismur. I had Traytourre out front, which I thought was smart, but he was too high levelled and killed it with a Pursuit. First loss of the game. Luckily I got some redemption in the cave, where I caught a Seismitoad. Named it Atilla, after one of the Punk Frogs from Ninja Turtles. Me and Cheren fought off the Team Plasma grunts, who are sailors by the way, then we left the cave and returned the Pokemon.

Continuing down the route, I figured I was pretty underlevelled and decided to grind for a bit, since Lenora is level 20 and I still got level 12s. Left things off there for the day since I had to get back to studying.

      Day 4 - January 18

So today was still just grinding, but I realized upon starting up the game I could just go to Pinwheel Forest for stronger Pokemon and a new capture. So I ran down the route, through Nacrene City and right into Pinwheel Forest. I forgot to heal up before I got there though, but I remembered there being a nurse who would heal my stuff up. Cool.

Not cool actually. I forgot I actually had to battle her, and I was leading with a low HP Thanks against her Scizor. Couldn't do anything to it, so I was gonna switch, but then it Pursuit'd my ass and well, apologies to ThankSwalot, but he died. I had ScaryMonst avenge him though.

After that I went into the grass for the new capture, and we got a freaking Eevee! Dude I love Eevee! Can't get Sylveon in this game, but still! Eevee! And after weakening it ever so slightly with Mudslaps from Claytor and wasting a bunch of Pokeballs, I finally caught the thing. I wasn't entirely sure what to evolve it into though, since I'd take basically any of them, but it was a guy, so for some reason I just named him after a certain pink puffball. Thus, Kirby was added to the team.

After that it was just more grinding with things like Smergle (real happy I didn't get that), Bisharp, Wailord, and more. I probably won't update tomorrow because exams start Friday and I gotta study (which I why I didn't update the last few days), but I'll probably go up against Lenora next time. She won't have her stupid Herdier and Watchog this time, so this could either be a lot better or a lot worse.

      Day 5 - January 25

We're back! Exams are over so I got a chance to play the Nuzlocke again.

Starting the day off, we entered the Nacrene Museum only to be stopped outside by N. After some speech that I skipped again, we entered a battle with him. He first sent out a Mankey, so good thing we were leading with Claytor and managed to kill with a few Psybeams. Then he sent out a Tepig, which Claytor killed as well with some Mudslap. His final Pokemon was a Clampearl, so we switched the Baltoy out for Eevee to give Kirby some more EXP. Started off with a Lovely Kiss, then we spammed Tackle on him and got the win.

N had his whole talk about Reshiram or whatever, left, I went back to the Pokemon Centre to heal and entered the museum. After getting the introduction from Hans or whatever his name is, we went into the gym. Beat all the trainers with their Wynauts, Scyther and Seviper, then we got to the demon woman. Lenora. She always kicks my ass with her Herdier and Watchog, and despite the fact that they're gone now, I still got scared for what could appear.

We led with ScaryMonst, since he's definitely the strongest we got at the moment, while "Analyst Jo" sent out a Togetic. Wasn't a big deal until I saw it had Metronome. It didn't get off anything like a Close Combat though, just a Dual Chop, so I was able to Bite it and get extra Sand Stream damage before it got something that would take out ScaryMonst. After that she sent out a Klank, so I switched into Claytor. Poor decision though, since Mudslap didn't do enough damage and a Gear Grind knocked him out. RIP Claydol potential. Luckily, Traytourre avenged him with a Rolling Kick that caused the Klank to flinch, then a Quick Attack to finish it off.

Lenora gave us the Basic Badge and a TM for Haze that I'll probably never use. Leaving things off there for now though, so we'll continue into Pinwheel Forest with Team Plasma next time.

      Day 6 - January 29

Back again today. Sorry for the wait. Didn't get much of a chance to go on my laptop.

Anyways, we went outside into the museum to find Team Plasma stealing the Dragonite skull from Lenora, so we went outside and met Burgh, Cheren and Bianca. The latter two stayed to guard the gym while Burgh and I (or just I because he didn't do shit) went off to find the group in Pinwheel Forest. But first, Bianca gave me the Dowsing Machine, so I ran around Nacrene City for a bit finding items. Like a Revive, because you know, if there's one item you're gonna use in a Nuzlocke, it's a Revive. Anyways, we then went to the Pokemon Centre to heal the team, which included the previously killed Claytor. So I guess I revived him just to throw him into a coffin along with Thanks. Poor guy.

After that I finally went off to Pinwheel Forest to chase after Team Plasma. I unfortunately wasn't allowed to catch anything there, since it was technically the same area as where I caught Eevee, but I got plenty of experience from battling trainers. Kirby tried evolving into Leafeon three times total since we're in Pinwheel Forest, but I cancelled all three since I looked it up and Flareon is probably the best thing to go with for type coverage (also because Sylveon doesn't exist yet, Glaceon is too far away and Espeon/Umbreon aren't something I wanna try for). Eventually I got past all the trainers and grunts after many returns to the nurse outside the forest, and made it to the Plasma member who had the skull, and after beating them and their Togepi, Shinx and Spheal, I got the item back before he fled with one of the Seven Sages. Burgh and Lenora came along, I gave the Skull back to Lenora and she gave me a Moon Stone in return. Hope I find something that can use this.

We then went along through the forest and onto the huge bridge where we crossed into Castelia City. Upon arrival I immediately went down to the first dock, since there's a scientist there that could give me a Fire Stone. I talked to him, got the stone, then immediately used it on Kirby to evolve him into a Flareon. We then went up to the Pokemon Center all healed the team up. We'll challenge the gym next day.

      Day 7 - February 3

So after healing up at the Pokemon Center, I has a realization that I can get the EXP Share in Castelia City. So I headed over to the Battle Company to try challenging the main boss for it, though I had to fight some trainers along the way. Nothing too major though. Some Darumaka, Tranquil, and Linoone were encountered, but they weren't a problem. Once we got to the President though, challenges were had. He led with an Absol, so I switched into Traytourre from ScaryMonst and killed it with a newly learned Triple Kick. He then sent out a Pawniard, which I easily dispatched with a Rolling Kick. His final Pokemon however, was a Ferroseed, and thanks to a critical Metal Claw and Sandstorm damage caused by ScaryMonst, Traytourre went down. And to a fellow sick spins Pokemon man! So I sent Atilla out then and killed it with a Mud Shot, earning us the EXP Share. We earned an incredibly useful item, but at the cost of our MVP. Here's hoping Traytourre's sacrifice was not in vain.

So I ran back to the Center, threw Traytourre in the Deadsies box then healed the team before heading over to Burgh. But then there's of course the Team Plasma plot so I couldn't fight him right away. Had to run down to some pier where we met only my most favoritest character ever, Iris, along with Bianca who's had her Munna stolen. So I then I had to run all the way back to near the gym, beat some Plasma grunts, more plot, back over to the gym to fight Burgh.

For some reason there were literally three Jasmines in here, one of which being Burgh. But past that, with the EXP Share Kamina learned Dragon Breath, so once I got to Burgh it was pretty easy to beat him, switching between Kamina and ScaryMonst who had just learned Rock Slide as well to beat his Tranquil, Houndour and Raichu without too much of an issue. With that, we got the Wish TM and the Insect Badge.

I went around Castelia after that to try grabbing some TMs and items like the Amulet Coin, then we went up onto Route 4, but before that I had to battle Bianca (Florentino) again. Kicked her ass, along with her Marill, Gible, Slakoth and Beartic's (the last of which was kinda scary, almost taking out Kirby), before I went onto Route 4. New capture time! We can get something cool to replace Traytourre like Lucario or Ampharos and we got Minun. Fucking Minun. Yay. Whatever. Kirby used Lovely Kiss, put it to sleep, tackled it, threw a ball, it was caught. I named it ShinyPlusl out of salt. There was a house nearby that I knew I could heal in, so I went in there before going outside and having to fight Cheren (Daniel) again. His team was a bit scarier than Florentino's, with a Golbat, Sneasel, Beedrill and Weezing on there, but Kamina didn't have too much trouble with the poison-types (though the Weezing's Assurance nearly killed him at one point), and Tyranitar knocked out the other two with Rock Slides.

Healed at the house again, then moved up the route while battling trainers before getting to the Desert Resort for another capture. This time we found a Masquerain, which is actually pretty cool. Haven't used one before. But after sleeping it with Lovely Kiss, Kirby's Tackle crit'd, and while that didn't kill it, it got it low enough for Sandstorm damage to do it. Welp, no capture there. I checked around too and that place had a friggin' Fraxure lying around, and I realized how good that would be at point in the game when it nearly killed Kirby with Dragon Rage. Ran right away after that and went straight up to Nimbasa. Some old guy was getting pushed around by some Plasma grunts. So I stepped in, beat this guy's stupid Chimecho and was awarded with a bike. Nice, faster travel now. Went over to the Center and healed there. Will probably do some captures on the nearby routes next time and maybe challenge the gym. Maybe.

      Day 8 - February 6

So to start the day off, I went over to the east of Nimbasa to catch some new stuff on the route there, and grind some levels against trainers. We lucked out on our first encounter and got a freaking Volcarona for ourselves. I had Kirby use Lovely Kiss on it to put it to sleep, then slowly whittled away its HP with Tackles. It took a few throws before we caught it, but eventually we did. It's Pokedex entry said something about it being the Sun Pokemon, but I didn't want to name it something simple like "Soleil", "Wukong" or "Solgaleo", so I also grabbed the part of the Pokedex entry that talked about its scales, threw it with "Sol" and ended up with "Solales". It sounded cool enough, so it got thrown on the team. Then in Lostlorn Forest we found an Exeggcute. Meh. Hopefully I'll find a Leaf Stone soon enough for this thing. Put it to sleep again with Kirby, used one Tackle to get it in the yellow, threw a Pokeball and got it. Wanted to name it something egg related, but nothing too simple again like "Eggsburt" or "Scrambled" or whatever. Then my mind jumped to Eggman from Sonic, but that still seemed too easy. So I settled on calling it "Robotnik" instead. Because why not?

Anyways, after that it was to the Pokemon Center to heal before going into the park where we met N again. He took us over to the Ferris Wheel, revealed he was Team Plasma's king and then we had a battle once we got to the ground. First was a Duskull, which ScaryMonst one-shot with a Bite. Then it was a Frillish, which was a bit scarier due to the Water-typing. So I sent out ShinyPlusl and had him Spark it to death. Two-shot. Follow that up with a Deerling which Kirby took care of with some Tackles again (man this guy needs more attacking moves), and finally came a Venomoth, which ScaryMonst one-shot again with a Rock Slide. After that, I ran back to the Center again and healed the team up before going over to the gym.

Now this gym was actually rather scary to me, because for some reason there were a lot of Dragon-types in here, with a Dragonair, two Axews and a Druddigon running around, with both the Dragonair and Druddigon knowing Dragon Rage. And yeah, I'm still in the stages of the game where that thing will fuck me up terribly. So I had to leave Atilla deal with them since he was the only one with HP over 80 that could take three Dragon Rage total. Thanks to him, we didn't lose anyone. Then we made it to Elesa (or Analyst Joey), and this is where got things got really difficult.

Elesa started off by sending out Camerupt while I had ScaryMonst out front. Two Bites and it went down without dishing out any damage (thank you flinching). But then she sent out a Blastoise, and after looking the thing up and what moveset it had (with a level 30 packing Bite and Water Gun), I figured that my safest bet was Atilla. Unfortunately, even that proved pretty difficult, since Blastoise's high defense made wearing it down really difficult, and even when I got down low enough it would just get Hyper Potion'd back up to full health. It was at this time that I realized I forgot to stock up on healing items, so I only had a few Fresh Waters going into this thing. I healed Atilla up and started wearing it down each time again, but eventually luck struck, and it wasn't in my favour. While I got the Blastoise in the red, and critical Bite took Atilla out, though the Sandstorm that was previously blowing around thanks to ScaryMonst's Sand Stream ability then took out the Blastoise. To finish things off I sent out Solales while Elesa sent out Jumpluff, and with two Embers and the help of a burn, I won the match. Got the Bolt Badge and the TM for Wish, then I left the gym and went back to the Center to heal once more, but not before putting Atilla in the Deadsies box. Rest in peace Atilla, you were the MVP of this gym, and died a hero.

Headed up to Route 5, but not before Bianca stopped me to check out the stupid musical theatre place of whatever. Skipped all the dialogue there and that stupid thing with her dad, then headed over to the Route again where we met Cheren. He sent out a Magneton first, and with ScaryMonst out front I switched him out for Solales and got to take it out quick with two Embers. Then came a Shelmet, which also fell thanks to Embers. He followed that up with a Tynamo which I had ShinyPlusl take out with a few Sparks, and finally came Beedrill, which gave Kamina somewhat of a fight with Pursuit doing decent damage, but nothing my main mon couldn't handle.

After that we met Alder and some preschoolers (Cooltrainers), who we battled with their Farfetch'd and Herdier. A few Rock Slides from ScaryMonst and some Sparks from Cheren's Magneton and we won it pretty easy. After that we went switched Kirby up to the front of the party then headed over to the grass where we encountered...! Minun. Again. Welp, skipping that, and onto the next one since duplicates are ignored. So instead we got...! Cascoon. Damn that's a forgettable Pokemon. But a Tackle and Lovely Kiss, combined with a Net Ball and we had it caught. Its Pokedex entry said something about how it remembers all the pain felt in its cocoon and then seeks revenge once it breaks out of it, so I thought "damn Dustox is a monster". And since it's supposed to be a moth I named it "Mothnster". Probably not using it though. By the way, that grass was wicked cool, with the likes of Aerodactyl, Prinplup and Luxio running around it. But I got Cascoon. Yay.

Then it was over to the Driftveil Bridge, which I knew had encounters on it with the shadows. So after running for five minutes we finally got an encounter with a Charmeleon. Woooooo! Charizard's gonna be coming to the team boys! Another Tackle/Lovely Kiss combo and I got a new addition to the team. Since Charizard is a fire dragon, I named it Igneel, after the dragon from Fairy Tail. And fun fact I was reminded of when I got to the end of the bridge and talked to one of the NPCs, that bridge is also known as the "Charizard Bridge". So damn, based RN-Jesus right there.

Anyways, once in Driftveil we met Clay who all like "you gotta find Team Plasma in the Cold Storage before fighting me", so I guess I'll be doing that later. For now, I'm happy with what we did today, since this was a pretty big update. Went to the Center, healed the team, and changed up the lineup. We'll go after Team Plasma next time.

      Day 9 - February 10

So we headed on over to the Cold Storage to start the day off in order to get a new capture. After arriving there, we ran around the grass a bit and found a Hypno. Gross. Not a fan of this thing. Always seemed like a massive pervert or something to me, with those weird eyes and the whole hypnosis theme. Anyways, I had to catch it, so I had Kirby put it to sleep and then Tackle it a bit before throwing an Great Ball. Caught the thing, and I noticed that the small sprite you see for it when it's like in your party is extra creepy, but it reminded me of a certain Kaiji character, as well as a Fairy Tail character. The Kaiji guy was known as the Foreman, and the Fairy Tail character is Ichiya. Since I hate both those guys and Hypno, I decided to name it "Foremehne" after them both. Then I sent it to the box to never be taken out again unless I have no other options. Anyways, after that I decided to see if I had any TMs to teach to Kirby, and I wound up replacing his Tail Whip with Jump Kick.

I decided to run around the place a bit more and found some trainers to grind levels with. I sent out Kirby for one of them, and the other guy sent out Excadrill. I really should've taken that as a sign, because the thing used Dig, Jump Kick missed and Kirby ended up dying. Because Excadrill is a Pokemon that just loves to fuck me over. Clay's Excadrill solo'd the first team of my Black 2 Nuzlocke, Excadrills on the Battle Tree consistently ruin my streak of 15+, and now here's this one killing another Nuzlocke 'mon. I sent out Kamina then and killed it with some Dragon Breaths. Salt is real tho.

I ran back to the Pokemon Center, healed the team and boxed Kirby and pulled out ShinyPlusl. Then I realized that I can go to the next route over and grab a Pokemon there. So after leaving the center I went over to the west, entered the grass and found a freaking Hippowdon! An Oversnatch! I love you if you get that reference. Anyways, since I couldn't have ShinyPlusl paralyze it, I instead had Robotnik use Stun Spore and that did the trick. Then Solales wore it down a bit with some Gusts, I threw an Ultra Ball and caught it. Now Hippowdon's battle sprite in this shows sand pouring out of the his back, which reminded me of Gaara's gourd. That led to me thinking Gaara VS Toph, so I named it SpunkMeist after that little occasion. But hey, it's still awesome, and I put it on the team once I got back to the center. Congrats ShinyPlusl, you were back for five minutes and did nothing.

Anyways, back down to the Cold Storage to find Team Plasma along with Cheren, SpunkMeist needed some EXP so I had it out front for most of the place, and oh my god this guy is a beast. He has Sand Stream for Sandstorm damage to start up, then I can Sand Tomb the other guy to wear them down even more, and after that I can just use a STAB Dig and kill it easy. All the way up to Team Plasma it was just that strategy, and even then it still worked. Though I switched him out so others got a chance at experience points. When all was said and done, Clay came along to take Team Plasma off me and Cheren's hands (who by the way has this really edgy line where he says that TP is a "waste of oxygen". Like damn dude.), then the two of us left the place. I went to the Pokemon Center, healed, then went to Clay's gym where Ghetsis was to take back his grunts before leaving. Clay then told me and Cheren that he'll be waiting, and I left things off there for today. Next time will be the gym.

      Day 10 - February 17

An eventful day to make up for my week-long absence in the Nuzlocke department. We started off going into Clay's gym, which for some reason had a large percentage of grass-types in it. Gloom, Foongus, Bulbasaur, it was weird. Luckily that allowed Igneel and Solales to shine pretty well this time around, with Embers from both taking out whatever we fought. Eventually getting down to Clay, we led with SpunkMeist since he needed some EXP, while Clay started off with a Jolteon. Perfect for me. I just got to Sand Tomb it then Take Down and the thing was dead, only being able to get in two Quick Attacks. But I guess since I beat it down so bad, Clay had to step things up quick, so he sent out a level 31 Zoroark which scared the crap out of me. In retaliation, I sent out ScaryMonst since I figured he could handle it the best, and while Night Slash and Foul Play almost took him out, ScaryMonst is a champ and survived at 5HP before knocking Zoroark out with Rock Slide. Last up was a Swanna, so we swapped to Kamina who took it out with a Dragon Breath, paralyzing it the first turn so it didn't get anything in. I'm actually really surprised we survived without a death though, since I was actually pretty underleveled for this gym.

Anyways, we got the Quake Badge, left the gym, healed up, then went to the next route except we didn't because thanks Bianca. I had Robotnik up front while Bianca sent out a Duosion, which was literal hell because I kept trying to use a Leech Seed/Poison Powder combo on it, which worked to some extent, but this thing gets Recover along with Bianca having Hyper Potions out the ass, not to mention Charm to lower my attack stat for Bullet Seed when Exeggucute is more of a special attacker so it's already weak. Eventually I got it after a stroke of luck where I got five Bullet Seeds and two of them crit'd, combined with the Leech Seed and poison. Everything after that was a lot easier. She sent out a Claydol then (rip Claytor) so I switched into ScaryMonst, but then the thing just self-destructed so ok. Took it like a champ too. Next up was Azumarill, so I switched to Kamina and killed it with some Dragon Breaths. Thank you for not existing yet fairy-type. And then finally was a Parasect which Igneel one-shot with Ember.

After that we went along the route and fought a few trainers and wild 'Mons. One particular woman for some reason and three starter Pokemon and a Wigglytuff, those starters being Bulbasaur, Totodile and Wartortle. Bulbasaur was taken out by Solales' Gust, Totodile was taken out with some Bites from ScaryMonst, and then Exeggucute got sent out against Wartortle, but I forgot the thing had Bite too and Exeggucute got scrambled. Haha get it? Bad puns to mask the salt that I've hit the special mark where I've lost a full team of Pokemon I liked. Anyways Kamina came out then and one-shot with a critical Dragon Breath. Bu salt got to me so I kind of lost track of what I was doing for a while so here's the abridged version

Went back to the center, put Robotnik in the Deadsies box, took out Mothnster, ran back to the route, went back up the route, trained and evolved Mothnster into Dustox, got back to Chargestone Cave, Clay came along and broke down the net, gave us a TM for Magnet Rise then left, we entered the cave, encountered a Magnemite and thought it was neato, caught it thanks to Kamina, named it "Mag-Neato", left cave, went back to center, changed Mothnster out for Mag-Neato, went back to Chargestone Cave, stopped there for today. Hopefully I don't leave you guys waiting a week for an update again.

  • About Me

Greetings, reader. I am the Grand Blazer, but I also go by Blaze, Blazer, Grand or just GB. Call me what you want. I definitely consider myself the "nerd" type, being a big gamer and anime/manga fan, throwing in a few comics and cartoon series too.

Like most g1s on this site, I'm a big fan of Death Battle and enjoy giving my thoughts and opinions on upcoming fights, though it's fairly rare that I'm actually able to contribute to debates. But being a DB fan, I primarily do Death Analysis blogs, though I am branching out into other stuff, be it top tens, reviews, maybe some rants, we'll see.

And that's pretty much all there is to me, fellow g1s. I hope to see you guys around. Until then.

He should be about large city level at this point (likely to go higher when he winds up fighting Zeref or Achnologia). In terms of speed, he scales to Erza's recent meteor feat, so that should put him at Mach 12,600, or sub-relativistic.

Jellal's a cool guy. I'm not gonna let the fact that someone's shipped with my waifu make me dislike a character.
