Its happening guys. I know a few people here really wanted it. Some to the point of having an image that said "Whens season 3"
I watched 2 seasons of this and all of Railgun. I don't know if I like this series or not.
What I know is Touma has the nullifying falcon punch ability called "Imagine Breaker" and when he throws that punch it feels very satisfying to see it impact to someones face. Enough to keep me watching to see THAT PUNCH. Downsides is he's human and can be stab or shot by any other means if its non-magic or non-science base powers.
The Story from what I remember is Science and Magic world collide? But it never really crosses.except when Kuroko fight Sherry. And theres something bigger anddeeper not being said involving the imagine breaker.
Theres Index who is a little girl who has the List of Prohibited Books in her that the church wants back and stays with Touma
Misaka Mikoto is a Level 5 Electromaster of which there are 11 or so.who specialize in different things. Her thing is electricity and magnetism. (Alot of manga and anime have characters who electrify but no magnet skills which is weird. Denki Kaminari doesn't do megnetism for example.)
She's badass and I like her which I think is why she got her own spin off series.A similar situation for Accelerator.
Heres where I piss people off I think the Railgun anime is a little more fun visually and the story is easier to understand whats going on. Problem is if you didn't drop Index you will drop Railgun. For very obvious reasons but it has good moments if you can get through it. Which many will not.Which I think might be better than the main series because dialogue is not matirix-like and ludicrous.
A Certain Magical Index shared Shakugan no Shana's flowery word problem, even if you're enjoying the show, it has what feels like pretentious lines of spoken words. Medical & Religious terminology is use extensively in this series. For example: Duchenne muscular dystrophy & Aphasia. These are the tips of the iceberg on what we're dealing with and I'm not even touching all the different terms from bibles and beyond terms. Were these at point if the demographic was Doctors and Religious Scholars?
Despite all I said against it: I still really like this series. Its problems and its still hard to swallow too this day. But Touma punches a person it feels so visceral and good. When Railgun has these quiet emotional moments I do find myself feeling emotions. Theres a good show in these series but bogged down hard. And that makes me sad
No idea if I'll watch the third series though.
