Hey guys! Haven't posted a journal in a while, mainly because this month's classes are pretty killer. However, this is my last week in econ and marketing, so I should be set to post more often very soon. (well, hopefully)

Anyway, just wanted to update you on my binging of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I just finished episode two of season seven. God, the show is just so funny all the time, and I'm having a great time watching.

It also helps that Geoff, Michael, and the rest of the AH crew seem to reference Sunny a bunch of times in their videos, so I actually get it when Michael and Geoff were "trapped like a rat!" in Mad King Ryan Part 2, or when Michael said "We're Lawyers!" in another video.

That brings me to a pretty interesting topic; Achievement Hunter is just full of pop culture knowledge! Between Jack's dictionary-esque knowledge of actors, Geoff's eclectic and expansive knowledge of bands, and even Michael and (surprisingly) Ryan's knowledge of Anime, everybody just knows so much stuff. And I really respect that! In fact, I'm trying to become a huge pop culture nerd myself, though I have a long way to go. (next on my list: watch all 8 seasons of Weeds, listen to more 90's rap, and read the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books)

I'm gonna be quite busy for a while, actually...

    • Kids, don't show up to class. (Rant incoming)

So two months ago, I ended up failing my economics class due to my poor attendance. I was scared that it would mess up my graduation date, but I found out that I could retake it and be put back on track. Even though my teacher didn't tell me about any make up work to rectify my laziness, it's still my fault, and I fucking hate myself for it. Whatever.

A few minutes ago, I just found out that I failed ANOTHER class due to poor attendance, even though I SENT MY TEACHER THE FUCKING MAKE UP WORK.

So now I have to talk to my advisor, and she'll probably tell me that I'm gonna have to push back my graduation date, I'm gonna owe like $3,000 for the classes I'm retaking, and my parents are gonna fucking kill me.

You know, I told myself a few weeks back that I'll stop being lazy; I'll get my shit together and do well in school. And you know, I participate in class, I help out my groups and try and lead when I can. But holy shit, I can't believe that my laziness has caused me to fail two fucking classes.

Do any of you have a guillotine? Or maybe just a really large axe (like the one from Prisoner of Azkaban)? Because I could really use one right now. Just fucking cut my head open, please. Better yet, take the rest of my body, toss it into a pool of sharks and piranhas, then drop a nuke on the pool.

The worst part about all this is that it's my fault. It's all my fault. And I'm gonna be costing my parents $3,000 for being a lazy fucking piece of shit.

So kids, do yourselves a favor. Don't show up to class. Don't study for tests. Sleep during lectures, do meth and heroin, and join a drug cartel. You'll be fine.

So the mighty Captain Falcon has finally been confirmed for Smash 4. Also, Lucina and Robin from Fire Emblem: Awakening have been announced. In fact, you can play as a male or female Robin!

      So, my friends:

Unless you've been hyped for Smash 4 all along, in which case CONTINUE TO BE HYPED.

So I'm a huge Nintendo fan if you didn't know. And I'm also a musician. So it should be no surprise that Video Game Soundtracks get me hyped. And I'm currently listening to the OST for Shovel Knight.

It's so good. God, the music is SO good. And the gameplay looks like a blast. I need this game. NOW.

Excuse me while I cry tears of manliness and joy.

So a couple of months ago, I started binging "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." Not only is it such a great show, but I've found that a lot of my friends are really into it. So I'm not alone, which is nice.

However, I think I've been having thoughts about doing some of the stupid, asinine shit the Gang ends up doing. I mean, I don't plan on smoking crack or sleeping with anyone's mom. But the Gang does whatever they need to do to one-up somebody in the group (or not). As such, I've determined that I shall never swear loyalty to anyone else but myself. From now on, I will do anything and everything in my power to get what I want, when I want.

Okay I just wanted an excuse to make a journal about It's Always Sunny. However, smoking crack actually does sound like a good idea. Anyone want to join me?

    • Nintendo HYPE

TL;DR: I love Nintendo. And I love games. So Nintendo announcing new games at E3 is AWESOME.

So I've grown up with Nintendo games. In fact, my first system was the purple Game Boy Advance. I remember playing F-Zero and Super Mario Bros. 2 for hours. Good stuff.

Anyway, I watched Nintendo's E3 digital Event, and I was super excited about all the reveals and new information. Splatoon looks SO FUCKING FUN. Mario Maker is something we've all been waiting for, and I'm looking forward to seeing some crazy levels. The new Zelda looks BEAUTIFUL. Palutena and Miis, as well as MOTHERFUCKING PAC MAN got me so hyped for Smash Bros.

      Speaking of which;

Every match was intense, fun, and we got to see plenty of gameplay for Smash Bros. I'm beyond excited.

Okay, so I'm not saying that Nintendo won E3. It'd be very biased and baseless to blindly praise Nintendo's overall presence at the conference this year. In all honesty, Nintendo's presentation was the ONLY presentation I really saw at E3. I watched videos from IGN and The Know to get info on the rest of the presentations.

Of course, I had a few gripes with Nintendo's reveals and announcements. For example: Devil's Third, while incorporating elements from Halo, Assassin's Creed, and Cod/BF, looks like just another shooter. And while I LOVE the idea of Amiibos evolving and boosting stats as you fight with and against them, I'm not sure how it'll do with the hardcore Smash audience.

Overall, I'm very excited for the future of Nintendo. The more games, the better. And it's always a plus when those games have been tested and just WORK when you play them. Because the main reason I've stuck with Nintendo all these years is that the games are ALWAYS fun. And I want that in game, you know? Who cares if it's not at 60 fps, or isn't HD, or that the system I'm playing on is underpowered compared to others on the market? I play games because they're fun, and that's all that matters.
